Initially Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) was established in Purwokerto, Central Java by Raden Bei Aria Wirjaatmadja under the name De Poerwokertosche Hulp en Spaarbank der Inlandsche Hoofden or "Bank Assistance and Deposits Owned by the Pride of Purwokerto", a financial institution that serves national people Indonesia (native). Since August 1, 1992 under the Banking Act No. 7 of 1992 and Government of the Republic of Indonesia Regulation No. 21 of 1992 BRI's status turned into a limited liability company. BRI's ownership at that time was still 100% in the hands of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia. In 2003, the Government of Indonesia decided to sell 30% of the bank's shares, thus becoming a public company with the official name of PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Which is still used today.

Requirements for RM Kredit and RM Dana Ritel:
- Minimum S1 formal education (for RM Manager Kredit positions) and minimum D3 (for Manager Dana Ritel positions) all accredited Departments / Faculties at PTN / PTS
- Minimum GPA of 2.75 (scale 4.00)
- Attractive and able to communicate
- Age limit:
- -Maximum 25 years for fresh graduates (not yet 26 years old)
- -Maximum 30 years for experience in the same field (not yet traveling 31st year)
- Has an active A / C SIM and is capable of driving a motorized vehicle
- Has no nuclear family relationship with BRI workers
- Able to work under pressure and Team Work
- Willing to be placed in all work units assisted by Jakarta 2 Regional Offices (Bogor, Depok, South Jakarta, Bekasi, Tambun, Cikarang, Cikampek, and Karawang)
Requirements for Frontliner:
- Minimum D3 Formal Education (for all accredited Departments / Faculties at PTN / PTS)
- Minimum GPA of 2.75 (Scale 4.00)
- Attractive and able to communicate
- Able to work under pressure and Teamwork
- Minimum height of 155 cm (female) and minimum 160 cm (male)
- Single
- Maximum age limit of 25 years (not yet 26 years old)
- Has no nuclear family relationship with BRI workers
- Willing to be placed in all supervision work units of Jakarta 2 Regional Offices (Bogor, Depok, South Jakarta, Bekasi, Tambun, Cikarang, Cikampek, and Karawang)
